At The Choral Forge, we believe in the transformative power of choral music. Our mission is to create a vibrant intergenerational community where diverse voices converge in song.
Join our tenor/bass choir, Foundry, or our soprano/alto choir, Ageless. Together, we create a vibrant intergenerational community celebrating diverse voices and meaningful connections through song.
Michael and Janice have years of experience helping groups perform in a welcoming, safe, and fun environment.
Two choirs you ask? Yes, because who doesn’t like to sing with voices like their own, and also at times with a full SATB ensemble? Our vision is that we will be able to perform a wide variety of music in both smaller formats and joint performances. When together, these ensembles will perform as a full choir under the name The Choral Forge.
We know that singers will come from all backgrounds. As Artistic Directors, Michael and Janice have years of experience helping groups perform. We will provide sheet music as well as recordings by part for each song so those that want to practice on their own time can learn the music, learn the words, or fill in for rehearsals you might have to miss.
No auditions. All are welcome! Encourage any friends that have always wanted to join to reach out as well.

The membership cost for each semester is $220, which breaks down to $18 per rehearsal (or $9 per hour). You can:
We’ve thought carefully about the cost. We never want finances to be a barrier, but we also need funds to help cover our start-up and on-going costs, from accompanists, the rehearsal space, music, recordings and director salaries. If fees are a barrier to singing with us, reach out to Janice or Michael and we’ll do our best to work with you.

We made the exciting decision to create the Choral Forge as a 501(c)3 non-profit. This gives us a number of advantages, from seeking potential grants while fulfilling the broader mission to serve our community in song. We’ll share more details as we get things formalized.
